Lea at His Best, Whips Twins
Monday, May 24th, 1982
Charlie Lea of Cleveland easily handled the Minnesota Twins, stopping them on 6 hits and chucking a complete-game 3-0 shutout.

"He really did a job on us," said Minnesota manager Deron Johnson. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us."

He finished the game with 7 strikeouts and no walks in a solid outing.

This year in 9 starts, Lea has recorded 7 wins and absorbed 1 loss. He has pitched 58.1 innings, allowed 53 hits, struck out 33 and has a 2.01 ERA.
