Harry Kemper exploded for a barrage of base hits at Gulfview Field.

The Dallas catcher had a field day in his team's 15-10 triumph over the Galveston Gulls, finishing 5-for-7.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

Kemper must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Harry Kemper singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, tripled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.

For the season, Kemper has hit .410 with 3 home runs and 56 RBIs. He has played in 45 games and scored 60 times.
