| Paige Torches Drummers for 5 Hits | It was high-fives all around for Albert Paige at Trinity Grounds.
He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Waco Drummers. Paige smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 6-5 win.
"Albert was hitting everything," said Steers manager . "It really was a special game for him."
In the opposing dugout, Drummers manager told BNN beat writers that Paige "ambushed" the club.
"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Paige oversleeps next time."
Albert Paige hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, tripled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
For the year, Paige has hit .291 with 5 home runs, 62 RBIs and scored 72 runs. | |
