 | Johnson Has 25-Game Hitting Streak Sunday, September 13th , 1896 Royce Johnson continued his streak at Honor Field, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Des Moines right fielder was 1-for-3 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 25 games. The Pioneers were not as fortunate, losing, 6-5, to the Milwaukee Knights. "Johnson was hitting everything we threw at him," said Milwaukee manager Ryan Hanselman. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame and we came away with a win." Royce Johnson singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
