Pioneers Knock Off Bells at Independence Grounds
The St. Louis Pioneers took on the Philadelphia Bells at Independence Grounds.

The St. Louis Pioneers picked up a win at Independence Grounds, taking down the Philadelphia Bells, 13-4. Starting pitcher Wilton Strickland was a big reason why. The second-place Pioneers are now 36-25, the Bells 32-27.

Early in the game, Strickland had a 2-run home run for St. Louis. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Pioneers on top, 3-1.
