| Rallying Bulls Get 3-2 Win | The Kansas City Bulls did just enough to sneak past the Philadelphia Bells, 3-2, at Stockyard Grounds. Kansas City pitcher Tom Bell, in particular, had a standout performance. Bell got the win, improving to 29-15. He gave up 7 hits and walked 0 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The 4th-place Bulls lifted their record to 34-30.
The decisive blow was delivered by Brick Cornwall in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 33-year old right-handed pitcher Nathan Hutchings to win the game for Kansas City. The home crowd went nuts.
"When he's dealing, Tom is a tough customer," said Kansas City manager .
