| Brahmins Find a Way to Win | Boston pitcher Woody Ross was good. Really good. The right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the in complete games with 23, twirled a 5-hit shutout to beat the Cincinnati Dutchmen, 1-0. The winning pitcher was Ross, now 12-13. He tossed 13 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. Boston is second in the National Alliance with a record of 40-27.
The Brahmins got a clutch hit from first baseman Pat George. In the bottom of the 13th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Brahmins.
