The Chicago Catamounts dealt the Washington Columbians a loss at Halsted Street Grounds. The final score was 8-7. Jonathan Hawkins was especially productive for Chicago. In addition to his 2 singles and 2 triples, he scored 2 runs and drove in 1. The setback makes Washington 26-42.

George Devaney was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Catamounts shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
