| Bell Deals Catamounts 3-0 Shutout | All went well for Tom Bell of the Kansas City Bulls as he pitched his team to a shutout victory, 3-0, over the Chicago Catamounts, limiting them to 5 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Bell on the day.
"Tom's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Bulls manager . "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."
In the contest, the Kansas City right-hander rang up 14 and surrendered no walks.
"He didn't give us any second chances," said Catamounts manager . "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."
