| Bulls Get Clutch Win, 4-3 | Thanks in large part to pitcher John Reding, the Kansas City Bulls beat the Washington Columbians, 4-3. Reding threw 9.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The 5th-place Bulls go to 40-38.
Had Charlie Hibbler not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Hibbler hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Bulls.
"Time to decompress after a tough win," said Hibbler. | | | | |
