| Columbians Lose, 6-4, as Blue Caps Rally | The Cleveland Blue Caps picked up a win at Columbia Field, dropping the New York Columbians, 6-4. Jack McKinley, who is tied for 2nd in the FL in wins with 11, was the difference-maker. McKinley yielded 4 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 11-6. The Blue Caps raised their record to 11-6.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Will Wessels? The 23-year old third baseman Wessels stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put Cleveland up, 6-4. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
