Detroit starter Bill Poole pitched well against the Chicago Cyclones at Riverside Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2, in 10 innings. Detroit now has a record of 13-8.

The Sturgeons got a clutch hit from first baseman Napoleon Crane. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Sturgeons.

"Our team found a way to get it done," said Crane.
