Monarchs Earn Win with Late Rally | Cincinnati parlayed a decent outing from starter John Babbitt into a solid win over the St. Louis Pilots. The final score was 4-3. The win puts Cincinnati at 2-2.
Had Jim Copple not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Copple hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Monarchs.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Babbitt. | | | | |
