| King drives in 4 runs to Power Barons Offense | The New York Barons and Pittsburgh Vulcans squared off at Vulcan Grounds.
The New York Barons beat the Pittsburgh Vulcans, 6-2, at Vulcan Grounds. David King was 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The 22-year old third baseman was a menace to Pittsburgh all day. At 51-65, the Barons find themselves in 7th place in the Federal League.
Dave Claiborne drew 1 walk. He drove in 2 runs for New York. The 38-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off George Ashe. It was his 26th walk of the season.
"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," King told the New York Bulletin.
