The New York Barons topped the Indianapolis Westerners, 7-3, in Federal League action at Western Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of New York pitcher Tom Samples. The setback makes Indianapolis 57-61.

New York got a big at-bat from Ballwin, Missouri native Albert Torgerson, who in the top of the third hit a bases-clearing triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Barons ahead, 7-0.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Samples told the New York Bulletin.
