Garrison Grounds was the site of a competitive game between the Chicago Cyclones and Louisville Colts.

Louisville pitcher Kip Hereford did his part in helping his team beat the Chicago Cyclones, 5-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Louisville now has a record of 16-13 with the win.

Louisville used the timely hitting of Norm Heyward to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Colts on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I just tried to stick to my strengths," said Hereford.
