The Cincinnati Monarchs converted a terrific effort from starter Kenneth Ranson into a win over the Boston Brahmins at Queen City Grounds II. The Monarchs won the game by a final score of 8-2. Ranson, now 11-13, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 0, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The second-place Monarchs improved to 52-40.

Ed Ford contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. His at-bat helped Cincinnati get the win.
