Shanafelt Shines in 8-5 Louisville Win
The Louisville Colts trumped the Chicago Cyclones, 8-5, at Garrison Grounds. Louisville right fielder Charlie Shanafelt was terrific. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Ray Ball went 9 innings for Louisville to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs. He scattered 9 hits, while walking 6 and striking out 4. His record improves to 3-3. The third-place Colts have won 4 in a row.

In the top of the eighth, the Colts grabbed the lead when Shanafelt hit his 6th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Victor Anderson made it 8-5, Louisville.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Shanafelt told the Louisville Bulletin.
