The Baltimore Bannermen picked up a win at Banner Field, knocking off the Montreal Tigers, 6-4. Starting pitcher Tom Child played a key role in the triumph. The defeat makes Montreal 74-42.

The Bannermen got a big at-bat from first baseman Jackrabbit Hoppe. For the game, Hoppe went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Baltimore a 6-2 lead.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Hoppe said after the game.
