The Montreal Tigers knocked off the Kansas City Prairie Dogs, 10-3, in International Association action at Carver Grounds. Montreal pitcher and San Francisco, California, native Jack Kerwin had an outstanding performance. With the win, Montreal has a record of 56-46. Kansas City falls to 40-68.

Carl Collins had a big 2-run triple for the Tigers in the top of the first inning. With Montreal leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a curveball from Jon Baxter, who is tied for 7th in the IA in saves with 1, and swatted a triple to right. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tigers ahead, 4-0.

"We were able to put some runs on the board," said Kerwin after the game.
