| 6-for-6 Day for Buckley | There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 6 hits in a day.
Larry Buckley is one of those rare few, as he went 6-for-6 against the Indianapolis Westerners at Derby Grounds. The monster effort from the 29-year-old first baseman helped the Louisville Colts get the win, 22-2.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Westerners manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Larry Buckley hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run triple in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th, walked in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
So far this season, Buckley is hitting .371 with 11 home runs, 109 RBIs and 118 runs scored. He has 163 hits in 439 at-bats and a .445 OBP. | | | | |
