The Boston Brahmins beat the Kansas City Prairie Dogs, 6-1. Boston pitcher and Olathe, Kansas, native Peter Gates led the way. The win puts the Brahmins at 57-54, while the Prairie Dogs drop to 41-71.

The Brahmins benefited from an error in the bottom of the first inning. Boston was leading 2-0 when Don Frison hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Boston in front, 4-0.

Frison called the win "a pick-me-upper."
