No one was more impactful than Standpipe Read in the 18-6 Toronto win over Baltimore. Read, who is on pace for 86 RBI this season, went 3 for 5 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. The Provincials improved to 65-62.

The Provincials took advantage of an error in the bottom of the fifth inning. Toronto was leading 5-3 when Glen Nalley hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Provincials in front, 7-3.

"Good win for us," said Read. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
