Minutemen Win Thriller, 4-3
Boston Minutemen starter Coy Shaw found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Pittsburgh Vulcans. In 14 innings, Shaw surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. The last-place Minutemen improved to 23-60.

The Minutemen procured the win, in large part because of right fielder John Norman. In the bottom of the 14th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"We were determined to pick up this win," said Shaw.
