| Creams Drop Robins, 6-3 | The Milwaukee Creams knocked off the Rochester Robins, 6-3, in Federal League action at Cream City Grounds. Milwaukee pitcher and Shelton, Connecticut, native Norm Schmitt had an outstanding performance. Schmitt, who is on pace to win 26 games this season, went the distance for Milwaukee. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. The defeat makes Rochester 16-14.
Hick Rogers, who is tied for 10th in the FL in home runs with 1, took Rochester hurler Tom Bell deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Creams on top, 5-3. In all, Rogers had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Schmitt after the game.
