| Shaw in Fine Form in 4-1 Win | The Boston Minutemen picked up a win at Charlestown Grounds, taking down the Washington Legislators, 4-1. Starting pitcher Coy Shaw was a big reason why. The last-place Minutemen lifted their record to 26-76.
Shaw, who dominated for Boston, earned the victory to move to 13-33. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 7. Washington batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"It never gets old," said Shaw. "Winning, that is." | | | | |
