Due in part to first baseman Larry Buckley, the Louisville Colts chopped down the New York Barons, 15-9, in 11 innings. Buckley was 4 for 7 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Louisville is now 20-15, while New York is 16-21.

Buckley broke a deadlock in the top of the 11th inning, when he hit a run-scoring single, putting Louisville up, 8-7.

"I'm just out there trying to have as much fun as I can while I'm playing," Buckley told the Louisville Bulletin.
