Colts Lose, 4-1, at Capitol Park
Washington starter Ronald Langford put the Louisville offense in a vise grip. The right-hander relied heavily on his fastball in leading the Federals to a 4-1 win. The win puts Washington at 11-25.

The game still hung in the balance with two out in the top of the ninth inning. Langford, however, wiggled out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Louisville trailing 4-1, Langford retired Charlie Morris, who popped out.
