The New York Excelsiors gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.

New York Excelsiors starter Candy Lemmons found his groove in his team's 5-4 win over the Indianapolis Stars. Indianapolis, with the loss, is 11-8.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when New York third baseman Clipper Smith, facing Tom Kitts, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Excelsiors the 5-4 win.

"Candy gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said New York skipper .
