Will Bowling did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cincinnati Monarchs from being beaten, 6-5, to the Montreal Tigers at St. Gabriel Grounds II. Bowling was 2-3 with a triple and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Montreal, at 74-55, holds down second place in the International Association.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Monarchs allowed the Tigers to score the winning run.
