| Bannermen Grind Out 2-1 Win | The Baltimore Bannermen picked up a win at Banner Field, knocking off the St. Louis Pilots, 2-1. On the mound for Baltimore was left-hander Hugh Brigand. He played a key role in the triumph. Baltimore is now 64-72.
The Bannermen got a big at-bat from shortstop Allen Aiken. For the game, Aiken went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Baltimore a 2-1 lead.
