| Unions Shut Out Vulcans, Rosenthal Winner | In a seemingly effortless performance, Abel Rosenthal of the Brooklyn Unions shot down the Pittsburgh Vulcans, 3-0, on 4 hits.
"Abel was just locating so well and using his pitches," Brooklyn manager said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Rosenthal recorded 3 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Pittsburgh manager said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
