Colts Win with Late Heroics
The Louisville Colts racked up a win at Derby Grounds, bumping off the Chicago Cyclones, 9-6, in 15 innings. Ed Lane, who started for Louisville, pitched effectively for his team. Sam Gilleland picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Harlan Akins suffered the loss. The 6th-place Cyclones now sit at 27-31.

Louisville got a knockout punch from Travis Gresham. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 15th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Gresham.
