Victory Takes Colts to 31-23
The Louisville Colts handed the Chicago Cyclones a sound defeat, 14-3, at Derby Grounds. Charlie Morris, who finished 3rd in the FL in hits with 96 in 1876, was a main contributor to the win. He went 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Louisville. The second-place Colts have won 4 in a row.

Vernon Thorne contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. His at-bat helped Louisville get the win.
