| Toronto Sent Home with 3-2 Loss | In a tight contest between the Cincinnati Monarchs and the Toronto Provincials, Kenneth Ranson was the determining factor. The Cincinnati left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. The win takes Cincinnati to 10-11.
Will Bowling had a big run-scoring double for the Monarchs in the bottom of the third inning. With Cincinnati leading 2-0 and a runner on 3rd, he got a fastball from Fred Brody, who is tied for 4th in the IA in strikeouts with 36, and swatted a double to right. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Monarchs ahead, 3-0.
"That's baseball," said Toronto manager . "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
