Brahmins Win, 1-0, in 13
The Boston Brahmins got a scintillating performance from pitcher Peter Gates, who shut out the Montreal Tigers, 1-0. The Brahmins have hit the ground running, raising their record to 17-6. While it's still too soon to talk about Boston hoisting their 2nd Round 1 trophy, fans are getting excited about their strong start.

The Brahmins got a clutch hit from first baseman Pete Applegate. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Brahmins.

"Big win," said Gates.
