Norm Schmitt, who is on pace for 237 strikeouts this season, had a strong outing for the Milwaukee Creams against the Philadelphia Unions at Girard Grounds. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 8-2 win. In 9 innings, Schmitt surrendered 10 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The Creams saw their record improve to 18-34.

Ken Duncan had a big 2-run triple for the Creams in the top of the third inning.
