Cyclones Lose to Westerners in Walk-Off
The timely hitting of Kermit Nelson helped the Indianapolis Westerners down the Chicago Cyclones, 6-5. Nelson was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Westerners. The winner was Bill McDonald, who threw 161 pitches over 9 innings. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs on 11 hits.
