Pittsburgh and Chicago got after it at Garrison Grounds.

Pittsburgh turned a good effort from starter Stanley Lamb into a win over the Chicago Cyclones at Garrison Grounds. The Vulcans won the game, 8-2. In 9 innings, Lamb surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs.

Jasper Kent was 1-4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Pittsburgh. The slugging right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jim Lucier. It was his 14th walk of the season.
