Thanks in large part to catcher Alexander Faulk, the Philadelphia Unions beat the Milwaukee Creams, 10-5. Faulk went 3 for 3 with 3 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Mike McCord, who led the FL in innings pitched with 495.1 in 1881, was the winner. He's now 9-22. The loser was Nathan Hutchings. The Unions are now 19-34, while the Creams fall to 18-35.

Philadelphia grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Faulk hit a 2-run double off Nathan Hutchings. His 9th double of the season put the Unions out in front, 5-3.
