Clippers Get One-Run Win at Boston
In a low-scoring tilt between the Cleveland Clippers and the Boston Brahmins, 25-year old right-handed pitcher Paul Jackson was the difference-maker. The Cleveland right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The Clippers sport a record of 12-21.

Cleveland used the timely hitting of Bill Berglund to capture the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Clippers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.

Berglund called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
