| Tigers Take Tight Tilt | The Montreal Tigers tallied a win at St. Gabriel Grounds, throttling the St. Louis Pilots, 3-2. Starting pitcher Joe Henry was a big reason for his team's success. Henry, who is tied for 7th in the IA in complete games with 15, went the distance for Montreal. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. With the win, Montreal has a record of 21-19. St. Louis falls to 11-29.
Buster Brown went 1 for 4 for Montreal. The 26-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Bill Silvers. It was his 32nd RBI of the season.
