King Helps New York Cruise to 11-3 Win
New York third baseman David King had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Washington Federals, 11-3. New York pitcher Ted Carson earned the win, hiking his record to 12-13. Ronald Langford suffered the loss. New York is 40-39 and Washington, with the loss, 20-55.

Early in the game, pitcher Ted Carson had a grand slam home run for New York. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Barons on top, 4-0.

"It's not about individual awards," King told a New York Bulletin reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
