Cook Lifts Cyclones to 10-6 Triumph
Morgan Cook led Chicago to a win over St. Louis. The final score was 10-6. The Wexford, Ireland native collected 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Ed Wales, who finished 3rd in the FL in strikeouts with 167 in 1881, was the winner. He's now 25-12. The loser was Dan Hicks. The Cyclones move to 67-25 with the win, while the Pioneers drop to 49-47.

With Chicago leading 6-1 in the top of the eighth, Cook came up to bat against St. Louis pitcher Dan Hicks. Cook hit a fastball to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Cyclones on top, 10-1.

"I like how we're playing right now," said Cook.
