The New York Barons managed to get by the Washington Federals, 4-3, at Columbia Field. New York pitcher Jack McKinley set himself apart with his performance. The Barons saw their win-loss record go to 27-43. At the same time, the Federals fell to 27-39.

McKinley contributed when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. Coming with one out and a runner on 3rd, the single proved to be critical to helping New York get the win.

"We earned that one," said McKinley.
