New York Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Arwood
Despite a great performance by New York catcher Virgil Arwood, the Chicago Cyclones defeated the Barons by the score of 10-7 at Garrison Grounds. Arwood was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win makes Chicago 39-43.

The Cyclones got a gift in the bottom of the first inning, when they were leading 1-0. With two out and the bases loaded, Roman Washington reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. It made the score 2-0, Chicago.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Washington said. "We did a good job of that today."
