| Baltimore Downs Reading as Dillard Tosses 1-0 Shutout | The Reading Red Caps ran into a buzzsaw at Railmen's Yard, as Baltimore Tars starter Thomas Dillard cut them down to size, 1-0, tossing a 6-hit shutout.
"That's one thing that has never changed in this game -- pitching can control hitting," Tars manager Curtis Uhrig told reporters after the game. "Thomas knows exactly what he's doing. He's not going to throw you a good pitch until you make him throw one."
