| Clippers Lose Versus Baltimore, 7-2 | The game between Baltimore and Cleveland is in the books, despite a little rain.
Baltimore beat Cleveland on the strength of starting pitcher Bill Silvers's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-2. At 15-24, the Bannermen claim 5th place in the International Association.
Perry Manahan could have done more damage. In the top of the ninth, with Cleveland trailing 7-1, Cleveland had the bases loaded. That's when Manahan grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough. Baltimore would go on to win the game. | | | | |
