5-for-5 Day for Copple
Today at Cream City Grounds, Jim Copple put on an impressive display.

The Milwaukee Creams shortstop tagged Cleveland pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on the spree and lost the game to the Cleveland Blue Caps by the score of 10-5.

"The loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it," Copple said. "5-for-5 ain't bad in any league."

Despite the terrific performance, the Creams manager was unwilling to offer the shortstop much praise, saying the "whole roster" is held accountable for losses.

"Jim told me 'Coach, I had 5 hits' and I said 'Well that's great, but it looks like we needed one more from you,'" manager said.

Jim Copple singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

Copple is currently batting .279 with no home runs and 35 RBIs.
