| Pilots Collect 3-2 Win Over Vulcans | Fuchs Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the St. Louis Pilots and Pittsburgh Vulcans.
The St. Louis Pilots beat the Pittsburgh Vulcans, 3-2, in 10 innings. St. Louis starter Nate Shine pitched a gem. The Pilots improved to 15-33.
The Pilots got a clutch hit from second baseman Steve Kent. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right-center, to win the game for the Pilots.
"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Kent. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
