Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Westerners
Indianapolis registered a win at Garrison Grounds by beating the Chicago Cyclones, 7-5. Pitcher Doc Burbank was one reason why the Westerners triumphed. Burbank, who is tied for 9th in the FL with a 1.14 WHIP, went the distance for Indianapolis. He gave up 5 runs on 10 hits. The 6th-place Westerners now have a record of 41-45.

Indianapolis used a timely hit from Bill Windom to get the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Westerners ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Getting the win feels nice," said Burbank. "More importantly, I had a good game."
