Garrison Common Grounds was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

The Toronto Provincials got a stellar performance from pitcher Fred Brody, who handcuffed the Cincinnati offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Garrison Common Grounds. The victory gives the Provincials a record of 16-16.

Brody broke a deadlock in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a sacrifice fly, putting Toronto up, 2-1.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Brody said.
