Colts Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Louisville Colts stopped the Washington Federals, 9-8, in 10 innings at Derby Grounds. The Colts got a big game from Larry Buckley, who was 3-5 with 2 triples, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Washington's current losing streak is now 6 games.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, slugging second baseman Sam Day had a chance to be the hero. Washington pitcher Joe Collinsworth wanted to foil that plan. But with no outs, Day hit a sacrifice fly. The Colts had themselves a thrilling win.

"The house was rockin'," said Day.
