The Washington Federals picked up a win at Capitol Park, downing the St. Louis Pioneers, 4-3. On the mound for Washington was left-hander Norm Schmitt, who played a pivotal role in the win. Schmitt, who is tied for 10th in the FL in complete games with 31, went the distance for Washington. He gave up 3 runs on 4 hits. The Federals raised their record to 27-81.
